Many of you know him as a Best-Selling author: "This Is Your Brain On Music", "The World In Six Songs", "The Organized Mind", "Successful Aging", and others, but you may not have realized that Dan is a wonderful musician. Well, now it's time for you to be educated. Mr Levitin has worked with many musicians ranging from Stevie Wonder to Joni Mitchell, and we are proud to offer his CD of original music to you.
Featuring guest appearances by Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, Elliott Randall, and others. These songs were written to create an album experience in the classic sense, with a range of musical styles and moods—no two songs sound alike. From the upbeat and techno pop opening song (Too Many People), to straight ahead rock (Turnaround), and ballads (Take Those Lips). There’s the Tom Petty-ish (Looking For Another), a nod to the 80s (Take It Away), a song Dan wrote for Huey Lewis. The song that made Joni Mitchell put down her coffee as she listened is the epic and poetic (Trumpet Unblown), the song Joni calls her favorite. Now it's time for you to listen.
